BRA TOPS should I dare?!

Inspired by a tiny article I found on the May issue of Marie Claire....and this picture of Ava Gardner from 1943...

I went on to look for more inspiration and of course I found her....

Marilyn

She is such an inspiration for this look. Because most of the Bra tops we now use to head to the streets, were used in the 1940's and 1950's to head to the beach!

I decided to search for cool, amazing, provocative and wearable bra tops...and this is what I came up with!....

Tell me what do you think?!
BRA TOPS

These bra tops are great to be used with high waisted pants and skirts. In general they look like really good quality bikini tops from the 1940s, made with all sorts of modern textiles.

I prefer those made with silk and lace. But that is just a personal preference. When it comes to wearing inner-wear as outerwear, it is all a matter of deciding how much do you really want to show!

I would recommend you use them with a denim shirt, or a nice fitted jacket. Wear a black leather bra top with denim shorts and boots for a "1940's meets The Dukes of Hazzards" look.

And remember it all depends on the color and type of fabric, you could perfectly wear a black silky bra top to a coktail party....provided you are fully covered in other areas....Perfect with a long skirt, or palazzo pants!

How would you wear a bra top? Do you think they are just for the Beach? Would be too self conscious of your belly? Remember you can choose to wear them with high waisted pants and skirts! so no muffin tops!!!!
