WHITE IS THE COLOR I CHOOSE
For those of you that participated in the Color Contest, the color I would choose to wear is WHITE!
White is ideal for summer, and I would definitely consider moving back to the Tropics, so that I can enjoy Summer all year round!
What's not to like about white? That it stains easily, and can be hard to wash...yes, it's true.
But it is also a classic color, and a neutral color, so the potential of white is limitless.

Yes summer has arrived to the Northern Hemisphere! And I can think of no better way to enjoy it than with a nice big pair of SUNGLASSES! And yes sunglasses are a must have item all year round, but are especially important during summer, when the sun shines brighter and it's rays reflect strongly on surfaces like sand, the ocean, tiles, even bounce off white shiny walls. If you have very light colored eyes know how uncomfortable and painful on your eyes it is when the sun shines bright!
So because I like to take care of my body and I absolutely Love to accessorize, I need no more excuses to dig into the subject!
I actually bought a nice Cat eye pair...but in reality after wearing them for a couple of months, I got fed up....I need something a bit more classic, I don't mean to say I won't use my cat eye sunnies anymore, I just feel that they are not suitable for every occasion and once in a while I need a total change, I need to try a new look, a d cat eyes have too much of a personality not to call all the attention to themselves!
So I went online shopping for sunglasses...yes it can be done, you just need to know your overall facial shape and your facial proportions and you will have no problem buying sunglasses or any pair of specs for that matter without trying them on! I will give you a few tips below!

This cat eye sunglasses are bold, fun and trending. If you are blond the tortoise sunglasses will look softer on you and will compliment your hair color better. If you are like me, and already got kind of bored of seeing cat eyes everywhere...then, you need to get yourself a pair like the ones below...

This sunglasses frames are square so the are perfect for you if you have a round facial shape, or you don't have your contours defined. I don't recommend this rectangular shape for women with strong jaw lines, or square facial shapes, as everything that we wear on or near our face, should be the opposite of our own facial characteristics to create harmony! So this pair is ideal for round faces!
I love the classic aviators, this LOOK GOOD ON EVERYBODY! they look great on men or women also. You have to have at least a pair of aviators! They go so well with a romantic dress, paired with a leather jacket, and leather boots....gorgeous!
Round sunglasses, remember the rule? Well they are great on women with very sharp features. IdeaFor rectangular and square facial shapes.
My absolute favorites to invest in? This classic aviators with crystal blue graded lens and gold frame, they are classic, unisex, kind of soft because of the light blue lens, I think totally worth the money....cat eyes may come and go, but a pair of aviators will never go out of style. I am sure about that!

A walk through the streets of New York City, makes me stop everywhere I see a beautiful window. And I want to share with you what I have seen at the windows of some of the most popular branded stores.
I am a big fan of accessories, you may have figured that out by now! Why wouldn't I? Why wouldn't you?!
Accessories can update a whole wardrobe in an instant! They are not costly....(depending on where you buy them). And they don't have sizes! (rings excluded). But in general we all can agree that accessories are so much fun! They are:
- A fast way to update a look
- An easy way to look current and be on top of trends
- A non-expensive way to incorporate a new piece to our inventory of items
- They do not occupy much space
- They travel very well, because as I said before they don't occupy much space! (check the weight though)
- A one size fits all item, ideal for gift giving.
- A lot of fun, you can combine an wear many items at the same time

MAXI DRESSES FOR ALL BODY SHAPES
Maxi Dresses come in all shapes and sizes. They are extremely comfortable to wear. A lot of maxi dresses are made of stretchable fabric, which makes them especially comfortable as they adapt to your body shape. Maxi dresses are just very long dresses. The length helps to elongate your figure, no matter what shape it is, therefore Maxi Dresses are Instant Slimmers! Who wouldn't like that?! Here is what to look for when buying one:
- Fabric composition - Is it stretchable? Just a nice hugging on the right parts...It doesn't have to be tight!
- Pattern - Is it a vertical lined pattern? e.g. Are the flowers forming vertical lines?
- Length - Will I use it with flat sandals? or heels? I recommend Maxi Dresses with flat sandals. It should cover your feet when standing up, people should not be able to see your shoes, unless you are walking!
- Color - Is this color flattering to me? If you pick a one color only dress, like the black or blue below, the slimming effect will be increased.
Take a look at some examples below:
- Apple or Round body shapes would look great this Summer on this Maxi Dress. The black vertical central line helps to elongate the silhouette and the horizontal line in the middle helps to create a waist. This maxi dress is elegant with a black and white pattern of both smooth and straight lines. High contrast personal coloring, such as dark hair and light skin, or dark skin and light eyes, would look amazing with this type of contrast.
- This plain blue from top to bottom maxi dress has amazing drape, and would be ideal for any body shape, but specially so for rectangular body shapes, as it gathers at the waist and ties itself with a frontal knot.
- I personally love this floral Maxi Dress. It has a beautiful back, and the size of the print is perfect to complement an average height! Remember if you are below 5' 4" or 1.64 meters, try not to wear big sized floral prints, as they will make you appear shorter!
- This Maxi Dress in two shades of orange (orange-pink and orange-yellow) is great on warm skin tones, and ideal for rectangular body shapes as it follows your natural silhouette, and conceals the natural waist with an A line upper half.
- This black Grecian Style Maxi Dress is perfect for pear or triangular body shapes. The boat neck neckline helps to balance the upper with the lower body creating width at shoulder level.

Bracelets
Bracelets are the easiest accessory to wear.
Chunky, big and bold bracelets are everywhere. There are two basic things to consider when choosing a bracelet:
- size of your wrist. Follow the instructions below to measure it:
- Measure it by wrapping it with you middle finger and your thumb, use the opposite hand of course! If you can barely touch the tip of your fingers, it means your wrist is large. If you can just touch, it is medium, and if you thumb overlaps your middle finger, you wrist size is small.
- A big wrist will look even bigger if you wear a thin bracelet. So use bracelets that are similar in scale to your own wrist. A thin wrist can look too fragile and thinner with a chunky big bracelet...so choose accordingly.
- The other factor to consider when choosing a bracelet is the overall color. Is it gold, or silver based? take a look at this post Is my skin warm or cool? for finding out what suits you better.
That's it! Just have fun! Bracelets are a great way to add a fun touch to any look. You can play with them and combine them in as many ways as you can think! They don't actually have to "match" anything else! And they are a great way to create a signature look. Imagine you have a beautiful piece that you love and wear all the time, no matter what...That is a signature you bring with you everywhere. People start to recognize your look and expect you to wear it every time. I particularly love to use either a ring or a bracelet as signature pieces
