I am in love with these sandals from Madewell. They are real leather, mostly flat, and either made with leather or wooden soles.

These are my number one choice, for weekend wear in town!







 I wouldn't wish for a better shoe, to feel comfortable and look cute. Great with pants, skirts, dresses. Ideal for weekend wear this Spring!

Spring has come, and with it, all the beautiful flowers are blooming, bright, saturated with colors, and I just enjoy walks through the parks of Manhattan, so much! I couldn't resist taking pictures, and then again when I went window shopping in Chelsea, Meatpacking and West Village I found beautiful floral prints, that remind me of this natural process of Spring, I just have to share them with you!

 And remember when choosing prints, always have in mind, the overall size of the motive, the main color scheme, and the distance between images, in this case, flowers. In the two examples to the left, you can see the first print the size is overall small, and the space in between is also small. It gives a closed print that looks good on small framed women, and women with small features if worn near the face, as in a top, blouse or t-shirt will look best in this kind of print. Also this print is a good combination of warm (warm orange and light yellow) and cool (pink and fuschia) colors. Ideal for all skin tones.





On the second print on the left, the overall size of the flowers is bigger, and the distance between them is larger. The space in between is black, which is a good choice when prints are big. It is a good option for bigger framed women, and those that have more prominent features if it is worn around the face on tops, shirts, or blouses. It is a good color scheme for all skin tones, but will look better on those that are Winter because it has mostly a cooler feel.

Remember that flowers are not just for Spring! But I do enjoy them now more than ever! I love the combine floral prints, with polka dots,

I just bought a polka dot blue denim shirt, that I just love to wear it opened or tied at the waist on top of the many floral dresses I own, and because it is getting warmer now, sometimes I can get away with just wearing those two pieces and no sweater! It looks gorgeous!

If technology were only a bit better, and I could show you the smell those flowers had, oh! but I think at least I can share these photos, they are one of the best I have taken ever!

Fluorescence is the
emission of light by a substance that has absorbed light. It is a form of luminescence. It absorbs energy, stores and emits it, slowly and continuously. So it is a constant source of ENERGY! Wow! then that would explain why its used do much for sports wear! I wouldn't mind a little bit more energy when going for my morning runs!


Neon colors or fluorescent colors, are playful, fun and very much 80's ....One of the reasons why everybody who is in their 30's either loves them, or hates them! Depending on childhood experiences :-)

Wearing neon colors instantly brightens you up, it adds lightness to any outfit, and communicates that you can be playful and fun.

Just adding enough of this colors is key, you don't want to either seem too informal, unless you are a kindergarten teacher, or call too much attention (unless you are directing airplanes to their bays, or high traffic on a Monday morning in Manhattan) I wouldn't recommend you to wear this neon pink dress on the right, to the office. Although she is wearing black sleeves, black pantyhose and black boots. It is still too informal for business. If your field of work is informal, or you are just running errands, then you would look great, just like the lady on the left. She is wearing a pair of blue jeans, a neon pink cardigan and a neon mint green scarf, which combine beautifully. Needless to say if you are on the way to the beach neon is an ideal option!

The easiest way to use Neon colors is to add them in small doses.  I went back to the little beautiful streets of Miami and then to Manhattan to find out how people are wearing this trend, and how stores and brands are styling it.


Autumn or Spring, Winter or Summer, Neon colors can be worn ALL Seasons. Hats, necklaces, shoe laces, t-shirts, beach dresses, and all kinds of accessories are ideal pieces, also bags, backpacks, and items that you can add on and subtract easily from an outfit.

Los colores fluo se asocian con la diversión, la informalidad. Son colores dinámicos, y que llaman la atención instantáneamente. Es por eso que se ven mucho en la industria deportiva.

Para incorporarlos a nuestro vestuario, la clave esta en usarlos en "dosis", pues no queremos que nos confundan con el señor de tráfico de aeronaves, ni con el policía de tránsito.
